East Asian cuisine won’t be complete without hot pot dishes. Just take a look at this food experience where you yourself cook the raw ingredients – the meat, seafood, and veggies – in a simmering pot of flavored broth whose fragrant aroma you can smell on the table. Then, who would forget about the sauces before you chew the meat?

Hot pot dishes are very popular around Asia, and in Japan, their version is known as the sukiyaki. Unlike the hot pots in Taiwan and Korea, the mainstays in sukiyaki are thinly sliced beef, vegetables, and other ingredients in the restaurant, also cooked in savory broth and sometimes even served with raw egg for dipping. Yummy! What are your choices of this dish in Hiroshima, you ask? Find out the best sukiyaki restaurants here!

1.  Monzen Miyabi

Hiroshima beef, the long-standing favorite in this destination, is the star of this sukiyaki restaurant.
