2. Ramen at Kirakuken

Don’t be surprised when while you’re here in Japan, you’ll be slurping ramen more frequently than when you’re in your hometown. The best ramen in Takehara is found at Kirakuken, recommended by Tripadvisor. 


Kirakuken serves the authentic ramen that the world loves, the noodle soup that was originally discovered by Chinese cooks who combined the noodles with salty broth before, then was introduced to Japan in 1910.

3. Togeshita Beef at Masuya


Believe it or not, Japan is not just about Wagyu beef. In Takehara, there’s a meat of this kind they call their own, Togeshita beef.


Togeshita beef is a brand of beef raised in the city’s Togeshita district. The cattle is raised amid Togeshita’s natural environment, which is why the beef you get on your table is characterized by fine marbling and its red meat. 


Masuya specializes in offering this. Your Togeshita beef meal here already includes a bowl of rice, miso soup, and the refreshing radish namasu. But, you can choose whether you’d like their individual dishes, set meals, or rice boxes. Customers love the incredible taste of this dish.

4. Risotto With Sake Lees at Trattoria M


Who says you have to travel to Italy to taste the best Italian food? In Takehara, there’s a restaurant that serves Italian cuisine, such as pizza and risotto.


The risotto at Trattoria M is cooked with a Takehara twist. Risotto is an Italian rice dish featuring a broth derived from meat, fish, and vegetables. The usual risottos contain butter, onion, Parmesan cheese, and white white, but in this restaurant, sake lees are added, giving the risotto a pungent note.
